News & Updates

Updates and Networking Event opens

Thank you to everyone for being so patient and waiting the whole day for the update today….. we pushed the publish button a little too early, so instead of reverting back to the last version, and causing chaos, we decided to leave it, and you would simply get the rest of the update tonight when we got it all done. (Hopefully completing all the 'holes' on the site...)

Today we opened the Networking Event for 6th July 2018, to be held at "66 On Earnest". (The restaurant at TAFE), 66 Ernest Street, South Bank, Queensland.

We are so excited as this bigger space means that we could expand the evening, and holding this event at TAFE means that while our buffet meal is cooked by the students of TAFE in their School of Tourism & Hospitality capacity, (so helping others learn and progress in their careers while we network), we have been able to keep the price the same as last year, and include the same amazing drinks offer, keeping the cost of the evening reasonable.

See the Networking Event page for all the details and for booking button.

Updates also included the confirmation of our final presenters in the program - Naomi Gaskell (Google)Alex Adsett (Alex Adsett Publishing Service), Kristy Bushnell (Kristy Bushnell Editing Services), and Samantha Turnbull. Thank you to these presenters and we look forward to their workshops! Kristy Bushnell will also be at CYA Conference in an independent editor capacity, for a limited number of places.

Please note that this concludes the editors and agents that we were adding and the list is now completed. (Unless of course someone amazing contacts us and wants to visit with us for the day!)

In the update, the success panel was also revealed. Congratulations to everyone on the panel as they join in as presenters this year. Catherine Pelosi, Cherri Ryan, Emma MiddletonMaura FinnKellie ByrnesMatt B Lewis and Taryn Bashford. Remember its worth visiting their success pages as well to see what they have achieved.

A reminder that the  CYA Competitors closes on 4th April 2018, a week today - so don’t get caught out thinking you have another month - you only have a week to get those entries in. Remember I do try and stay up till midnight for any last minute problems, but then I switch off and go to sleep.

Until next time, keep creating!

CYA Later!
