Karen Tayleur has had a varied career from bank teller to Christmas Present wrapper, nurse’s aide, desktop publisher and teacher… and other things in between.
In the 1980s, straight out of school, she co-published a short story magazine for five years called Brave New Word. Later, after a stint as managing editor in a performing arts magazine, she discovered a life-long passion for children’s publishing at black dog books.
Karen is now the Editorial Manager for The Five Mile Press in Melbourne.
In her spare time she also writes books for children and young adults.
