Kristina Schulz has worked as an editor and publisher for over twenty years in Brisbane, Sydney, New York and London. Most recently she was the Children’s and Young Adult Publisher at the University of Queensland Press (UQP).
Kristina has spoken at writers’ festivals and conferences, contributed to industry boards and panels, judged writers’ prizes, and has helped authors and illustrators at pitching sessions and with manuscript feedback, structural work, editing and mentoring. She loves working with Australian voices and is always drawn to books with strong themes and stories with heart. She is passionate about getting books into the hands of readers and would love to see a teacher librarian in every school around the country.
Kristina will be looking at all kinds of CYA literature.
Kristina will be providing written feedback with her assessments
Kristina will be running bootcamps for Chapter/Young Adult (Group 1) and Picture Books (Group 2) authors on Sunday.
Agent & Editor sessions are only available to conference attendees.
Some editors have withdrawn from the conference due to it being an online-only event.
If you have booked with one of them we will be in contact with you shortly.
You do need to be attending the conference to book an assessment.
You may book your session before booking for the conference however there will be a $25.00 administration charge should you decide to cancel the appointment before assessment bookings closing on 15 May 2020
No refunds will be made if you make an assessment booking but do not book for the Conference and your session will be cancelled.
