Luna Soo is an editor of fiction for children and young adults at Hardie Grant Egmont, where she’s worked on everything from bestselling comedy series Frankie Fish (by Peter Helliar) to the beloved Polly and Buster series (by Sally Rippin), along with such award-winning novels as Amelia Westlake (by Erin Gough) and In the Dark Spaces (by Cally Black).


She has also edited travel guides for Lonely Planet and newspaper articles for Fairfax Community Network, was a question writer for Channel Nine’s Millionaire Hot Seat, and was the children’s book buyer at Readings St Kilda, where she still works part-time. She loves gin and op shops and has yet to meet a cat she doesn’t like.

Luna will be looking at middle grade (stories for ages 8-12) and young adult ONLY. No picture books, illustrations or general fiction.

Luna will be providing written and verbal feedback with her assessments


  • Agent & Editor sessions are only available to conference attendees.

  • Some editors have withdrawn from the conference due to it being an online-only event.
    If you have booked with one of them we will be in contact with you shortly.

  • You do need to be attending the conference to book an assessment. 

  • You may book your session before booking for the conference however there will be a $25.00 administration charge should you decide to cancel the appointment before assessment bookings closing on 15 May 2020 

  • No refunds will be made if you make an assessment booking but do not book for the Conference and your session will be cancelled.
