Nicola Santilli is an editor at Allen & Unwin, where she helps create beautiful, dynamic and interesting books for children and young adults. She has worked in Australian children’s publishing for 10 years and served on the #LoveOzYA Committee from 2017 to 2018.
Nicola has worked with many award-winning authors and illustrators, including Anna Fienberg, Julie Vivas, Donna Rawlins, Wayne Harris, Carole Wilkinson, Leila Rudge, Meg McKinlay, Judy Watson, Liz Anelli, Tom Jellett, Sarah Epstein, Kelly Canby, Rachael Craw, Sophie Beer, Lucinda Gifford, Davina Bell and Frances Watts. She was also the commissioning editor of the YA anthology Kindred: 12 Queer #LoveOzYA Stories and the editor of middle grade anthology Funny Bones, which featured almost 100 talented authors and illustrators.
Nicola is assessing picture books, middle grade and YA fiction
, and is looking for stories with compelling characters, engaging narratives and clever world-building.
Nicola will not be looking at illustrator portfolios or nonfiction manuscripts.
Agent & Editor sessions are only available to conference attendees.
Some editors have withdrawn from the conference due to it being an online-only event.

You may book your session before booking for the conference however there will be a $25.00 administration charge should you decide to cancel the appointment before assessment bookings closing on 15 May 2020
No refunds will be made if you make an assessment booking but do not book for the Conference and your session will be cancelled.
