Sue Whiting is an award-winning Australian author who lives and works in a sleepy coastal village near Sydney. Sue has written numerous books in a variety of genres: fiction and nonfiction, picture books through to YA, including the bestselling The Firefighters, and the award-winning A Swim in the Sea. Her picture book Platypus, illustrated by Mark Jackson, was a CBCA 2016 Notable Book.
A former primary school teacher with a special interest in literacy education and children’s literature, Sue is a highly experienced speaker who loves sharing her passion for stories and storytelling, reading and writing with people of all ages. Sue has presented at many Writers’ Festivals around the country, and is a sought-after freelance editor, writing coach and mentor.

Sue is a freelance editor looking for talent and commitment - and importantly - original voices. She loves stories that keep the pages turning, but are also thought provoking and have a lot of heart. She particularly enjoys working with authors on picture books and middle grade fiction.
Sue will be running bootcamps for picture books, chapter books, middle-grade and young adult fiction.
Agent & Editor sessions are only available to conference attendees.
Some editors have withdrawn from the conference due to it being an online-only event.

You may book your session before booking for the conference however there will be a $25.00 administration charge should you decide to cancel the appointment before assessment bookings closing on 15 May 2020
No refunds will be made if you make an assessment booking but do not book for the Conference and your session will be cancelled.
