Jodi Toering is an author, artist, educator and performer based in regional Victoria. Her first picture book manuscript, Mallee Sky, hit the CYA Success Wall in 2018 after landing a publishing contract. Mallee Sky made the Notable list for the Children’s Book Council of Australia in 2020, and went on to be shortlisted for the SA Premier’s Literary Awards. That same year, Jodi's manuscript Night Watch won the picture book section of the CYA competition.
Night Watch, published by Walker Books, hit the shelves in February, 2024.
Jodi loves facilitating sessions for young writers in schools all around the country, engaging students in exciting, dynamic workshops based on the craft of writing.
