Volunteer as a Competition Judge

 

Reduced fees for the Conference: 

To compensate competition judges, CYA Conference offers a discount per entry judged. 

The discounts are 0.66% per picture book, and 1.31% per other entry judged off a full price single day ticket. (i.e. $1.23 per picture book, $2.44 per other entry).

You can earn up to 100% off a weekend ticket in 2021 year. 
 
The code to book at the reduced price will be allocated to you once your judging has been completed. 

Please do not book for the conference before your code has been allocated.

These discounts can be used against the conference ONLY.

Registration is closed for 2021 but you can still sign up as a judge for the 2022 competitions.

Although the CYA Conference is privately run, it could never happen without the donation of time by volunteers with the same interest as the CYA Conference.

 

From volunteer judges to drivers, note-takers, 'minders' for Hatchlings, administrators and sometimes even buyers, we have a job for everyone who wants to help make CYA Conference happen and continue to help provide the opportunities for authors and illustrators within Australia to not only gain professional development tailored to them, but to have the opportunity to network with industry professionals who can help on the road to publication, and beyond!

 

CYA is always looking for people to volunteer their time to help with the CYA Conference.

Volunteer on the Day

 

The 2021 Conference volunteers registration has not opened yet.

 

If you volunteer on the day, you do not pay for the conference; however, you will may be required to miss part of the workshops, and in some cases, YOU COULD miss whole sessions doing duties needed by CYA Conference.
