Peter Rowland
Peter Rowland is a Whitley Award-winning author, naturalist, and photographer who loves finding the sweet spot between scientific facts and a great story. With a library of work that includes 14 wildlife books and five scientific papers, Peter has also been the lead editor on two key guides on landcare and revegetation.
His own story took a turning point during an epic 20,000-kilometre road trip around Australia - a journey from "counterfeit Aussie" to a leading voice in natural history that he explores in his latest work, The Long Road Home. Between his two decades at the Australian Museum and his time as a regular guest on ABC Radio and as a past columnist for Australian Geographic Magazine, Peter has spent his life sharing the wonders of the bush. Today, he’s focused on helping others connect with the "wild heart" of Australia and the healing power of the natural world."
