Allison is a full-time, multi-published author and publishing consultant who writes for both adults and children. Her five Big Sky Publishing titles focus on memoir, historical fiction and non-fiction genres.

 

She has thirty years of experience working with children and young adults as both a primary school teacher and teacher librarian. She now enjoys delivering talks and workshops to children and adults across Australia. Allison has been a Judge for the Redgum Young Aussie Writer’s Awards, was delighted when her children’s title Anzac Sons was longlisted in both the 2016 CBCA and ABIA awards, and was honoured to be named as a 2017 May Gibbs Children’s Literature Trust Creative Time Fellow.

 

When she is not writing she enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with her family.
