Karen Wasson is a children's author based in Melbourne. Her nonfiction picture book, Drop into the Ocean, illustrated by Marta Tesoro was published in 2024. Her debut graphic novel, Inked, illustrated by Jake Minton, was the first graphic novel to be shortlisted for Hardie Grant’s Ampersand Prize in 2022. It will be published in April 2025 by Figment, Hardie Grant’s new graphic novel imprint. Karen lives with her husband, their three children and their Story Dog, Henry.
