As an award-winning children's book author, Steve is passionate about social and emotional well-being. Four decades of experience working with children have helped him hone skills to craft stories that touch and tickle the hearts of children.

Steve's middle-grade novel, One Thousand Snapshots, won the Australian Association of Family Therapy Book Award for Younger Readers 2022, was shortlisted for the WA Premier's Book Awards 2021, and was shortlisted for the Australian Psychological Society Children’s Peace Literature Awards 2023. Ling Li's Lantern - MidnightSun 2020, won the Picture Book All Ages Category Northern Lights Book Awards in 2021.
