Will Kostakis

Will Kostakis is an award-winning author for young adults. He released his first novel at nineteen (and it is, mercifully, out of print).

His contemporary novels, The First Third and The Sidekicks, warmed (then broke) hearts the world over.

His latest, We Could Be Something is a sweeping family epic about falling in and out of love.

An advocate for young readers and writers, Will was awarded the 2020 Maurice Saxby Award by the School Library Association of New South Wales for service to children’s and young adult literature.

Getting kids to pick up a book and actually read it.

Writing for younger audiences when you yourself are no longer a kid, and how to ensure your book gets read, not left on the shelf. What are these differences between that and how you read/write as an adult, and how do you ensure you keep your younger audience engaged in your book?
