Amy Thomas is a commissioning editor for Penguin Random House and works with many of their award-winning and beloved authors. She edits and commissions across the Penguin Random House Young Readers list.
Amy will be assessing junior, middle-grade and YA fiction (and non-fiction), picture books and illustration folios. All genres, but especially exceptional middle-grade and YA fantasy, and heartfelt work for all ages that possesses a distinct voice and compelling storytelling. Exciting and diverse stories and authentic characters drawn with humour and heart; richly imagined characters and world building. Stories that are uniquely told and unputdownable, and work that moves or delights, and is always centred on a child or teenager's experience.
She will not be assessing Educational or overly didactic storytelling or works of non-fiction.

- are only available to conference attendees.
- may be booked before booking for the conference, but you must book for the conference by 15 May 2024, or your session will be cancelled and not refunded.
- have a $25.00 administration charge should you decide to cancel before 15 May 2024.
- are non-refundable if cancelled after 15 May 2024 unless we are able to resell the session.
