Rowena Beresford is the publisher and Managing Editor at Riveted Press, where she works closely with new and emerging authors as a writing coach and editor.
She has more than twenty years’ experience in book, magazine and educational publishing, and has ghost-written successful autobiographical, narrative non-fiction and self-help books. Rowena is also a qualified graphic designer experienced in book and cover design.
Rowena is passionate about openly sharing her knowledge and is respected for her honest, insightful feedback. She hosts workshops and networking opportunities as The Publishing Insider, and regularly speaks at conferences and events.
Riveted Press is proud to have published numerous CYA alumni (four out of the nine 2025 Success Stories featured Riveted Press authors).
Our books have featured in a multitude of awards, including the CBCA Book of the Year, QLD Literary Awards, TAS Literary Awards, ARA Historical Novel Prize and Indie Book Awards and are represented in Australia and New Zealand by Simon & Schuster.
The Riveted Press tagline is 'Where unforgettable stories are forged', and that epitomises what Rowena is looking for.
You may have written a story that is quiet, like our CBCA Award-winning Aster's Good, Right Things by Kate Gordon, a hilarious story, a touching or thrilling story… but to become a Riveted Press author, it must show the potential to become unforgettable.
We do not publish toilet humour (clever humour is very welcome), graphic violence or sexual violence. We're not interested in witches or fairies, etc., although more interesting mythical creatures and magic are fine.
