Rowena Beresford - Editor Assessments

Rowena Beresford is the Managing Editor of Riveted Press (formerly known as Yellow Brick Books).

She has more than twenty years’ experience in book and magazine publishing and particularly enjoys working with debut and emerging authors.

Riveted Press is the proud publisher of CBCA award-winning title Aster’s Good, Right Things by Kate Gordon, and has had titles longlisted and/or shortlisted in a variety of awards including The Tasmanian Literary Awards, The Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Awards, and the newly launched DANZ Awards (Diversity in Australia and New Zealand).

Riveted Press is represented in the Australian and New Zealand marketplace by Simon & Schuster.

Our tagline is 'Where unforgettable stories are forged' and that epitomises what we are looking for. They can be quiet stories, like our CBCA Award winning middle grade Aster's Good, Right Things (Kate Gordon), hilarious stories, touching stories, thrilling stories ... but they must show the potential to become unforgettable

We do not publish: horror, romance, witches and other supernatural themes or toilet humour.

We're not interested in ridicule, toilet humour (clever humour is very welcome), witches, fairies etc. although more interesting mythical creatures are fine, romance, sexual relations, sexual violence, graphic violence.
