Abigail Nathan - Agent Assessments

Abigail Nathan has run Bothersome Words Editing & Writing Services since 2004. She has edited for Australian publishers including HarperCollins, Penguin Random House, Harlequin, Escape and Hachette, as well as UK publishers including Angry Robot, Hachette and Gollancz, and small press in the USA. She works regularly with emerging and self-publishing writers as an editor, mentor, and book coach.  In 2023, she joined Alex Adsett Literary as literary agent at large.

She can be found online as @BothersomeWords and at www.BothersomeWords.com

With experience as an editor and literary agent, Abigail is particularly interested in genre fiction, including romance, fantasy and sci-fi, crime, thrillers and mystery, and anything that comes under commercial fiction. She is open to all categories from adult to YA to middle grade and junior fiction, as well as picture books.

Abigail will not be looking at memoir, spiritual or non-fiction manuscripts, and she is not the right fit for literary fiction.
