Serena is an international children's book author and illustrator known for her illustrated series Mia Megastar, Howzat Pat, Lulu Bell, and picture books like We Are Matildas and Hope Is a Spark. She has illustrated over 70 titles and is creating her first graphic novel, Ella Forever.
A former Disney artist, she worked on The Lion King II, Peter Pan, and more, mastering emotion and movement. As a reluctant young reader, Serena inspires children through visual storytelling and illustration.
As a Creative Wellness Facilitator, she leads art and wellbeing workshops in Sydney, encouraging creativity and imagination in both kids and adults.

About the bootcamps
The Bootcamp is a day spent with Serena. During it, you will receive feedback on your work in small group sessions, have time to work on your illustrations, and then have a progress session where they will give you further feedback. There will also be a discussion panel and a Q&A session.
Places for the Bootcamp are strictly limited to four people per group, with each editor working with two groups.
You do not need to be coming to the conference to join a bootcamp.
