Agent & Editors Sessions
4th and 5th July 2020

Sessions are 15-minute one-on-one meetings and will happen on the 4th and 5th of July. Your work will be pre-read/previewed by the editors and agents before your session. 

The cost is $92.00 (including GST) per assessment and is additional to the cost of the Conference.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Agent & Editor sessions are only available to conference attendees.

  • You may book your session before booking for the conference however there will be a $25.00 administration charge should you decide to cancel the appointment before assessment bookings closing on 15 MAY 2020 

  • No refunds will be made if you make an assessment booking but do not book for the Conference and your session will be cancelled.

 

Pre-reading Requirement - for all Children’s or Young Adults Manuscripts & Illustration Work:

  • Short BIO on who you are, where you are going in the CYA industry and a photograph of you.

  • Picture books: 2 texts, OR 

  • Novels: 10 pages (double-spaced, size 12 font, 2,500 words) AND synopsis (single-spaced, size 12 font, 500 words) OR

  • Illustrations: 4 – 10 samples, and have your portfolio with you when you start the session.

 

 

Pre-reading Requirement - Adult Literature 

  • Short BIO on who you are, where you are going in the industry and a photograph of you.

  • 10 pages (double-spaced, size 12 font, 2,500 words) AND synopsis (single-spaced, size 12 font, 500 words)

 

Note: It is preferable to send your work as ONE WORD DOCUMENT, in the order of Name, Picture (6cm height - don't worry if you can't size - we can do that,) BIO and details, then your work for prereading.) If you can't manage the combination, that's okay we'll fix like always, but it saves us a lot of time if you do this.

 

You will be sent a link for submitting your work by 1 May. All work must be submitted and paid for by 15 MAY 2020.

 

 

We are aiming to get your times for your editor/agent sessions to you at least two weeks before the conference.
